 Karen Brown is the founding partner of Energy Strategies and Solutions, LLC. After 20 years of working in diverse energy related fields, she chose to create her own firm ESS, LLC, which focuses on making affordable energy a reality.
Brown is a degreed geologist from the University of Montana. After working as an explorationist for ten years, she served as Executive Director of the Colorado Energy Assistance Foundation (now known as Energy Outreach Colorado) from 1991 to 2003. During her CEAF tenure, she was also the National Fuel Funds Network Chairperson from 2000 to 2002 and NFFN Treasurer for three years. She served two years on the Board of Directors of the National Low Income Energy Consortium. Brown’s diverse background allows her to see the wide spectrum of energy issues. As a result, she is a strong advocate, addressing development and consumer energy issues. Her experience allows her to take a unique approach, working to unite two sides- consumers and producers, with affordable energy, a basic necessity of life in the 21st century. Through science and research, media relations and technical journalism, Brown has invested her knowledge and expertise in ESS, LLC- paving the way to make affordable energy a reality. Learn More: |
